What is this stuff about political parties of “Yes,” or “No,” or “Maybe,” or “Hope,” or “Despair,” or whatever.

This country was not designed to be governed by political parties, whether they number one or two or a dozen.  This country was designed to be governed by a collection of representatives who REFLECT THEIR CONSTITUENTS VIEWS.

There is no requirement that we all think the same way about everything.  One group of people might be dead set against one issue while another group of people is unequivocally for it.  That’s how it goes.

We elect representatives to promulgate our views.  Our opponents do the same.  The majority carries the day (subject to certain restrictions, of course ;)).

We all get screwed when our representatives are focused more on their personal income or social contacts or on job longevity than on carrying out their constituent’s agendas.

The obvious solution is to not elect or re-elect those who behave in this manner.  The evidence suggests that we don’t really care.  We elect and re-elect the effers anyway.

Here’s an idea that overthrows the government without armed insurrection:  VOTE THOSE MOTHERS OUT OF OFFICE.  Accept no substitutes of whatever political persuasion.

So…you made a mistake and voted for X.  He or she fooled you.  She or he screwed you at every turn once it took office.  What?  You can’t figure out what the hell to do next time he/she/it/they comes up for reelection?  He’s (I give up on the gender equality stuff) in YOUR party, so he’s safe?  Give me a break.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln once didn’t say, “Kick ‘em out!”  (As far as I know.)  But they should have.
